“If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress”

Barack Obama on Grit

Progress = Grit

Your progress bar is obviously showing you how far you've made it through the SuperMe game. But its also doing something else: Its measuring how gritty you are. What is grit?

Grit is about realising your dreams. Having a long term goal and not being distracted from it by tempting distractions. It’s about finishing what you started and not being put off by setbacks and failures.

People who have grit are way more likely to get what they want in life and be successful. And if you sit and think about the most successful people you know, you can guarantee it's people who get back up again after a knock-down.

1. Don't be fazed by failure. Try again.
2. Don't let negative or jealous people make you doubt yourself.
3. Set realistic goals and keep working towards them.
4. Find ways to deal with distraction. Small rewards will help you towards the bigger goal, but too many sweets and you won't eat your greens!
